Biography
Over the last years, Amandine Beyer has established herself as a reference in the interpretation of the baroque violin repertoire. Her recording of the Sonatas & Partitas by J. S. Bach in 2012 has been awarded the best international critics (Diapason d’or de l’année, Choc de Classica de l’année, Editor’s choice de Gramophone, Prix Academie Charles Cros, Excepcional de Scherzo....). The work in this masterpiece is being continued with the performance "Partita 2", choreographed and danced by Anne Theresa de Keersmaeker and Boris Charmatz.
She plays regularly in the most important halls and festivals worldwide. She shares her time mainly between her solo career, her ensemble Gli Incogniti and other orchestras she takes part off as concert master - such as Toronto Tafel Musik Baroque Orchestra, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Les Siècles Orchestra directed by F.-X. Roth, Collegium Vocale directed by Philippe Herreweghe, Ensemble 415 of Chiara Banchini, Le Concert Français directedby Pierre Hantaï, Accademia Montis Regalis, Ensemble Al Ayre Espanyol, Ensemble Jacques Moderne directed by Jöel Suhubiette, Collegium 1704, etc.
Her other passion is teaching, giving lessons and masterclasses worldwide (France, Taiwan, Brasil, USA, Canada). Since 2010 she teaches baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland.
